1st day : - transfer by car from Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest or Budapest (airport or railway station) to Rodnei Mountains - "Cabana Diana -> 1240 m. altitude". (160 km).
- welcoming barbecue and accommodation.

 

2nd day: Cabana Diana-> The Cobasel Peak (1835 m)-> The Rosu Peak (2113 m)-> The Ineut Peak (2222 m)-> Saua cu Lac (The Saddle with lake) (2140 m)-> The Ineu Peak (2279 m)-> Lala Mica Lake (1920 m)-> Lala Mare Lake (1875 m).

Sightseeing objectives: - The Ineu Peak, The Ineut Peak, The Rosu Peak, The Cobasel Peak;

- Lala Mare Lake (the biggest glacial lake within Oriental Carpathians), Lala Mica Lake;

- Bila and Lala glacial complex: icescoured valleys, glacial amphitheatres, moraines etc.

- Panorama view from The Suhardului Massif, The Calimani Massif, The Ceahlau Massif;

3rd day: - unpitching the tents and leaving the campsite.

The Lala Mare Lake-> Saua cu Lac (The Saddle with lake) (2140 m)-> Coasta Neteda (The Even Slope)-> Tarnita lui Putredu (The Putredu Saddle) ->The Cisa Peak (2036 m) -> The Cisa Saddle ->The Omului Peak (2134 m ) ->"La Cepi" Peak (2102 m) -> Claii Peak (2117m ) -> The Gargalau Peak (2158 m) ->The Gargalau Saddle (1925 m) -> Cailor Massif (1922 m) -> Galatului Saddle (1882 m)-> The Galatului Peak (2048 m) -> Puzdrele Camping Site (1540 m).

Sightseeing objectives: - Puzdra Waterfall , The Cisa Peak, The Omului Peak, ->"La Cepi" Peak, Claii Peak, The Gargalau Peak, The Galatului Peak;

- Gargalau glacial amphithetre and valley, Galatului glacial amphithetre and valley, Puzdrele glacial amphithetre;

- Panorama view from Maramuresului Mountains and Borsa Depression;

Hiking time: 7½ hours.

 

4th day: - unpitching the tents and leaving the campsite.

Puzdrele Camping Site -> The Galatului Peak (2048 m) -> Saua Laptelui (the Milk's Saddle) (1973 m) -> Puzdrelor Saddle -> Barsanului Saddle -> The Negoiasa Mare Peak (2041 m) -> Negoieselor Saddle -> Între Izvoare Saddle-> The Repede Peak (2074 m) -> The Cormaia Peak (2033 m) -> Obârsia Rebrii Saddle -> The Obârsia Rebrii Peak (2052m)-> La Cruce Saddle.

Sightseeing objectives: The Negoiasa Mare Peak, The Repede Peak, The Cormaia Peak, The Obârsia Rebrii Peak, La Carti Lake, Repede Lake, Rebra Lake etc.

5th day: - unpitching the tents and leaving the campsite.

La Cruce Saddle -> The Buhaescu Lakes -> The Pietrosu Peak (2303 m) -> The Rebra Peak (2268 m) -> The Buhaescu Mare Peak (2073 m) -> Cormaia Valley (here a car will wait for us). View map

Sightseeing objectives: Buhaescu Glacial Lakes, The Pietrosu Peak, The Buhaescu Mare Peak, Pietrosu Glacial Valley, The Wild Valley of Cormaia etc.

Difficulty: medium

Hiking time: 4 hours

What to take:

- a tent, sleeping bag and a camping mat;
- backpack or rucksack (eventually plastic bags for keeping the clothes inside the backpack).
- food which is available in light packaging (do not forget sweets).
- clothes : waterproof trousers , T-shirt to soak up sweat, a shirt and thin pullovers for warmth, a jacket or cagoule to protect against both wind and rain, good boots and light shoes to change into at the end of each day.
- compass, matches, first-aid kit, extra food and extra clothing.
- a knife, spoon, mug or bowl, spotlight as well as a camera.
-for cooking: a camping stove will be supplied by us.
